The Mahindra Group has announced a strategic collaboration with US-based defence technology firm Anduril Industries to co-develop autonomous maritime systems designed to counter the growing threat of drone warfare. The partnership aims to enhance regional security by deploying next-generation AI-driven solutions that will strengthen maritime operational capabilities.

The collaboration will focus on AI-enabled Counter Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) technologies and advanced command and control software, providing military and security forces with cutting-edge tools to detect and neutralise aerial threats more effectively.

In a bid to enhance underwater security and reconnaissance, Mahindra and Anduril will jointly develop modular autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). These vehicles will enable rapid deployment and real-time intelligence gathering, significantly improving underwater operational efficiency.

Additionally, the partnership will work on sensor fusion technology, integrating multiple sensor systems into a flexible and adaptable architecture. This will allow for enhanced surveillance, data processing, and decision-making capabilities across different security applications.

By leveraging AI and autonomous technologies, the collaboration between Mahindra and Anduril is set to redefine maritime defence strategies, equipping security forces with innovative, real-time solutions to address evolving threats in the maritime domain.
