The security industry views the India and SAARC region as a critical high-growth area demanding robust cybersecurity solutions
Zscaler, the global leader in cloud security, has reinforced its commitment to the burgeoning India and SAARC region, naming Hemant Dabke as its new Vice President and Managing Director.
The appointment comes as organisations across South Asia accelerate their adoption of cloud computing and generative AI (GenAI), simultaneously facing an increasingly complex and sophisticated threat landscape. Dabke’s mandate will be to guide enterprises in securely adopting digital transformation at scale using Zscaler’s flagship Zero Trust Exchange platform.
Dabke brings over two decades of leadership experience to the role, having previously held senior positions crucial to digital transformation across the technology sector. Most recently, he served as a Regional Vice President at both Databricks and UiPath. His background also includes significant strategic and operational roles at SAP, Tech Mahindra, and more than a decade at Microsoft.
Focus On Scalability & Robust Solutions
The security industry views the India and SAARC region as a critical high-growth area demanding robust cybersecurity solutions. The RBI’s recent push for financial digitisation and India’s leading role in GenAI adoption in the Asia-Pacific region have heightened the need for secure architectures.
Hemant Dabke expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge, stating: “I am deeply honored to join Zscaler at such a transformational point in the enterprise security landscape. Businesses across India and the SAARC region are at the forefront of a digital-first era, and there has never been a greater need for robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.”
He added that he looks forward to delivering innovative solutions that enable organisations “to thrive in a hyperconnected world.”
Andreas Hartl, Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan at Zscaler, welcomed the expertise Dabke brings to the market. “As one of the fastest-growing markets globally, India & SAARC represents a critical region for Zscaler,” Hartl said. “Hemant’s proven ability to deliver measurable results, paired with his extensive knowledge of the industry, will undoubtedly drive significant growth and innovation.”
The company’s Zero Trust Exchange platform operates on the core principle that no user or device, whether inside or outside a network, should be implicitly trusted, a philosophy that is becoming essential for securing cloud-native environments and GenAI deployments.
