India’s cyber and private security leaders stop working in parallel and start sharing a stage, a conversation, and a cause, in New Delhi, 2026. One Conclave, one set of Awards, one converged future of security
Security used to live in two separate rooms – one guarding servers, the other guarding gates. Today, those rooms share a wall that’s quietly disappeared. Threats no longer wait to be categorised as “cyber” or “physical” before they strike, and the leaders expected to respond can no longer afford to think in silos either.
It is against this backdrop that BW Businessworld proudly announces the elevated, re-imagined BW Security World Convergence Conclave & 40 Under 40 Awards 2026, a platform that, over three editions, has grown from a recognition ceremony into something larger: a definitive meeting point for everyone shaping the future of security in India.
This year, the event itself reflects that shift. What began as a conference and awards evening has been reimagined as a Convergence Conclave, a name chosen deliberately, because convergence is no longer a trend the industry is watching from the sidelines. It is the operating reality every security leader, cyber or physical, is already living in.
The Conclave: The Age of Anticipatory Leadership
At the heart of the day is the Conclave, a high-impact gathering of CISOs, CSOs, cybersecurity experts, physical and private security leaders, risk professionals, innovators, and policymakers, convened under this year’s theme: “The Age of Anticipatory Leadership”. The event is set to take place in New Delhi, 2026.
The theme is deliberate, not decorative. The industry no longer has the luxury of being purely reactive, reading post-incident reports, patching after breach, responding after a perimeter has already been crossed. What 2026 demands of its leaders is foresight: the ability to anticipate threats before they materialise, read weak signals across both digital and physical domains, and build organisations that are resilient before the crisis arrives, not after.
The Conclave will bring this theme to life through high-impact keynotes, panel discussions, and candid leadership dialogues, conversations that don’t stay confined to one domain. Expect sessions that move fluidly between AI-driven threat detection and frontline guarding reform, between boardroom risk frameworks and ground-level crisis response, reflecting the same convergence the event itself is named for.
The 40 Under 40 Awards: Honouring Emerging Excellence in Cyber & Private Security
Running alongside the Conclave is the evening’s centrepiece, the BW Security World 40 Under 40 Awards, carrying this year’s tagline: “Honouring Emerging Excellence in Cyber & Private Security“
Now in its 3rd edition, the awards honour 40 outstanding professionals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, measurable impact, and forward-thinking execution across India’s security ecosystem. This year’s category architecture has been deliberately expanded to ensure no corner of the profession goes unrepresented, because excellence in security doesn’t only sit in the corner office.
On the Cyber Security side, categories span the full stack of the discipline, from cloud security, application security, and AI-driven defence, to identity and access management, threat intelligence, incident response, governance and compliance, and the fight against digital fraud.
On the Private Security side, categories have been built to reflect the industry’s full breadth, from critical infrastructure and corporate facility protection, to surveillance and security technology, risk and crisis management, and the frontline workforce that forms the backbone of the industry, alongside specialised functions like investigations, executive protection, and business leadership within the sector.
Both pillars are judged with equal rigour, and equal respect, nominees are evaluated within their own domain first, by an eminent jury of security fraternity leaders, assessed on professional achievement, innovation, organisational impact, contribution to the wider ecosystem, and potential to shape the industry’s future. It is a process built to surface genuine, ground-level excellence, not profile.
Special Accolades Awards: Open to the Entire Fraternity
New to this edition is a distinct third tier, the Special Accolades Awards – a set of discretionary, jury-selected honours open to professionals of any age across the security fraternity, recognising individuals whose contribution and influence merit celebration beyond the standard categories.
Among them:
The Legacy Award — the evening’s most distinguished honour, reserved for an individual whose body of work has fundamentally shaped the industry’s course over time.
Impact & Influence Award — recognising a leader whose current work continues to actively shape the direction of the security profession.
CEO of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Mentor of the Year, and more — honouring business leadership, entrepreneurial courage, and the mentors building the profession’s next generation.
Where the 40 Under 40 celebrates rising talent, the Special Accolades honour the leaders, at any stage of their career, whose work continues to define what excellence in Indian security looks like.
One Stage, Every Domain of Security
What makes this year’s event genuinely different isn’t just a new name, it’s what that name represents. For the first time, cyber and private security professionals, from emerging talent to industry stalwarts, government-adjacent critical infrastructure leaders to private enterprise security heads, share not just a venue, but a single, unified conversation about where security is headed next.
It is, in the truest sense, one evening built around two worlds of security, and a single shared objective.
