According to a recent report, 100 private security guards were assigned to ensure the safety of a wedding. Guards were stationed on boats in the middle of Lake Pichola. Additionally, there’s a special security setup at the Hotel Leela Palace’s jetty.
The hotel apparently made significant changes to its security arrangements specifically for this wedding. The local police have set up around 15 security checkpoints in Udaipur. They also provide security escorts for all the guests traveling from the airport to the hotel.
To maintain the privacy of the wedding ceremony, a clever measure was taken – All the mobile phone cameras at the venue were covered with blue tape.
The guest list for this wedding was quite impressive, including notable figures like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, fashion designer Manish Malhotra, tennis player Sania Mirza, filmmaker Karan Johar, and the bride’s cousin, Priyanka Chopra.
Interestingly, a team of Punjab police traveled an impressive 860 kilometres to Udaipur to oversee the security arrangements for Raghav Chadha’s wedding. It’s worth noting that law enforcement is usually the responsibility of individual states, and Punjab is currently governed by the AAP-led government.
Just a few days ago, on September 22, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were seen at Delhi airport, all set to embark on their destination wedding in Udaipur, which took place at the Hotel Leela Palace.
