Israeli Embassy & Indian Security Forces Conduct Joint Security Drill In Delhi

The primary objective of the drill, as stated by the embassy, was to assess and synchronise the readiness of security forces to effectively counter potential future threats

Last Wednesday, the Israeli embassy disclosed its collaboration with Indian security forces for a joint security drill aimed at countering potential future security threats. This drill took place in Delhi last week, with the participation of various agencies including the Delhi Police, the National Security Guard, and local emergency services.

Israeli envoy Naor Gilon expressed the significance of this joint effort, stating, “This joint security drill with Indian security forces marks a significant milestone. We extend our gratitude for their efforts.” He emphasised that such collaborative exercises strengthen both nations’ cooperation in security and defense, highlighting their shared commitment to global stability.

The primary objective of the drill, as stated by the embassy, was to assess and synchronise the readiness of security forces to effectively counter potential future threats. Participants engaged in day and night sessions at the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, practicing response strategies to potential terrorist incidents.

The exercise involved activating elite units from participating agencies in simulated scenarios, with the Delhi Traffic Police managing traffic control in the vicinity. According to the embassy, this exercise provided a platform for Israeli and Indian forces to refine their coordination, communication, and operational procedures, thereby enhancing their joint efforts against terrorism.
