Security Tightened At Rajasthan Railway Stations Following Jaish-e-Mohammed Threat

At Bikaner railway station, extensive search operations are being carried out by GRP Station Officer Neha Rajpurohit, alongside RPF In-charge Subhash Vishnoi and their teams

Security at railway stations across Rajasthan has been heightened after a terror threat from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. The threat, received through a letter, warned of explosives being detonated at several major railway stations on October 30. The alert comes just ahead of Diwali, leading authorities to take significant precautionary measures.

At Bikaner railway station, extensive search operations are being carried out by GRP Station Officer Neha Rajpurohit, alongside RPF In-charge Subhash Vishnoi and their teams. According to the latest reports from ANI, a dog squad has been deployed to detect any suspicious activity or items. Monitoring efforts are focused on trains arriving from Musafirkhana and Bikaner, with officers keeping a close watch on all platform activities.

Passengers have been advised to remain vigilant. Subhash Vishnoi, the RPF In-charge, emphasised the importance of public cooperation in maintaining safety. “We are inspecting the luggage of passengers at Bikaner station, and special attention is being given to dustbins, waiting areas, and other public spaces. Medical personnel are also on hand for any necessary assistance.”

Vishnoi also highlighted that long-distance trains heading towards Mangal Gagan are undergoing detailed inspections. “Toilets and other areas are being scrutinized to ensure no suspicious objects are present. We urge passengers to immediately report any unclaimed luggage to railway staff or police for quick action,” he added.

Security checks are being conducted at every station in Bikaner, though no new updates regarding the threat have been released so far.

Passengers are encouraged to stay alert and cooperate with authorities as these enhanced security measures continue.
