Series Of Hoax Bomb Threats Disrupt Airports Across India

The wave of hoax threats continued with another email warning received on Monday, this time targeting a Dubai-bound flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi

A bomb threat email sent to Patna Airport authorities caused a temporary scare on Tuesday, leading to heightened security at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport. The threat was received by the airport director at 1:10 PM, prompting immediate security measures. This was the second airport to receive a bomb threat on the same day.

Earlier in the day, Vadodara Airport in Gujarat also received a bomb threat via email. Authorities responded quickly, contacting the police and tightening security across the airport. A probe has been launched to identify the sender, with Vadodara Cyber Crime tracing the email’s source.

Additionally, a hoax bomb threat significantly delayed a Dubai-bound flight from Chennai International Airport. The flight, carrying 268 passengers, was scheduled to depart around 10:30 AM on Tuesday. Security agencies conducted a thorough check after receiving the email warning about a bomb on the aircraft.

The wave of hoax threats continued with another email warning received on Monday, this time targeting a Dubai-bound flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. “On June 17 at 9:35 AM, an email was received in the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office, IGI Airport with the threat of a bomb inside a Delhi to Dubai flight,” the police said.

Last week, several museums in Delhi, including the Railway Museum, received bomb threats via email. These threats, sent to around 10-15 museums, were later found to be bogus.
