INFODAS, headquartered in Cologne, employs approximately 250 people and generates annual revenues of around 50 million euros. Beyond its main office, INFODAS also operates in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Munich, and Mainz

Airbus Defence and Space has announced plans to acquire INFODAS, a German company specialising in cybersecurity and IT solutions for the public sector, including defence and critical infrastructure. The agreement, still pending customary regulatory approvals, is expected to be finalised by the end of 2024.

The move aligns with Airbus’ strategic goal of enhancing its cybersecurity offerings to better serve its European and global clients. With the ever-growing cyber threats and the widespread digitalisation of products and systems, cybersecurity has become increasingly vital for Airbus’ growth and development. In recent years, the company has prioritised enhancing its cybersecurity capabilities and expertise to ensure robust protection for its products, operations, customers, and broader ecosystem, including major programs like the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

INFODAS, headquartered in Cologne, employs approximately 250 people and generates annual revenues of around 50 million euros. Beyond its main office, INFODAS also operates in Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Munich, and Mainz. Notably, the company holds certification from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as an IT security service provider, covering areas such as information system auditing, consulting, and penetration tests.

One of INFODAS’ flagship products, the SDoT Security Gateway family, is certified for classification levels up to secret and complies with Common Criteria standards, in addition to holding various country-specific certifications. This acquisition marks a significant step for Airbus in bolstering its cybersecurity capabilities to meet the evolving needs of its diverse customer base.
