Allied Universal Expands Global Footprint With Strategic Acquisitions

The acquisitions further bolster Allied Universal’s already expansive portfolio of security offerings, ranging from traditional guarding and investigations

Global security services leader Allied Universal has revealed details of its 2024 mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity, underscoring a continued focus on strategic expansion across key regions. Over the course of the year, the company finalised six transactions with combined annual revenues exceeding USD 240 million.

The acquired entities represent a range of specialised security services and are located across multiple international markets. The transactions were completed in stages throughout the year, enhancing Allied Universal’s operational capacity in the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The list of acquisitions includes:

JE Security (Barbados), Unified Command (United States), and ISX (Netherlands), all of which were completed in May 2024.

AIM Investigations, an Australian firm specialising in insurance claim investigations, acquired in November.

Brosnan, a U.S.-based guarding company, and Briger Security, which provides K-12 school security and traffic management services in the United States, both completed in December.

Commenting on the year’s M&A activity, Steve Jones, Global Chairman and CEO of Allied Universal, stated:
“While strategic M&A has been an important contributor to our overall growth over the years, we continue to be selective in our assessment of potential deals given the high interest rate environment. In 2024, we acquired six companies that continue our domestic and international expansion and provide additional opportunities in Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Europe, as well as the U.S.”

Jones also highlighted the importance of synergies between Allied Universal and its acquired businesses.
“As the acquirer of choice in the global security sector, we are excited to add these businesses to the team. Combining our areas of expertise enables Allied Universal to deliver the most advanced security solutions to help safeguard more businesses, schools and communities around the world.”

The acquisitions further bolster Allied Universal’s already expansive portfolio of security offerings, ranging from traditional guarding and investigations to cutting-edge solutions tailored for specific sectors such as education and insurance.

As the global security landscape continues to evolve, Allied Universal’s strategic investments reflect its ongoing commitment to growth through innovation and integration—ensuring it remains a leader in providing comprehensive safety and protection services worldwide.
