A number of award categories have been created to specifically highlight airport performance and leadership
The Aviation Business Middle East Awards 2025 is set to take place in Dubai on November 19, with a significant portion of its categories dedicated to recognising achievements across the region’s airports. The awards programme features 29 categories, with nominations now open until a deadline of September 26.
The awards are an annual platform for the region’s aviation sector to showcase its work, with a particular emphasis this year on the operational and technological advances made by airports.
Acknowledging Innovation & Leadership
A number of award categories have been created to specifically highlight airport performance and leadership. These include Airport of the Year, which recognises excellence in operations and infrastructure, and Smart Airport Project of the Year, which is intended to showcase cutting-edge technology and connected systems. Other categories for airports include Airport Lounge of the Year and Customer Experience Initiative of the Year.
Individual contributions are also being recognised, with awards such as Airport Executive of the Year for senior leaders, as well as Rising Star of the Year and Unsung Hero of the Year for other staff members. The awards also feature categories for broader achievements in Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and Safety Enhancement.
Showcasing Regional Progress
In recent years, airports across the Middle East have been at the forefront of global developments in technology and passenger experience. Hubs such as Dubai International (DXB), Hamad International in Doha, and Zayed International Airport are among those that have consistently invested in large-scale projects to improve their operations and services.
The awards ceremony provides these key players with a platform to highlight their impact on the industry before an audience of regional aviation executives. Submissions for all categories must be entered online and should be backed by measurable results from the past 12 months. The winners are scheduled to be announced at a gala ceremony in Dubai on November 19.
