The threat landscape, he cautioned, has become “faster, broader, and deeper.” Business Email Compromise (BEC), insider risks, and the proliferation of deepfakes powered by artificial intelligence exemplify how rapidly new vectors emerge and exploit human and systemic vulnerabilities. Addressing such threats demands integration — of data, technology, and human intelligence — to move from detection to prediction.
Framing what he called “the transformation imperative,” Capt. Sharma urged organisations to evolve deliberately, adopting adaptable and intelligence-driven architectures that anticipate rather than react. Security, in his vision, is poised to become a strategic advantage — a foundation of trust in an increasingly volatile world.
