Raymond Ltd Reports Cybersecurity Incident, Says Core Operations Unaffected

The firm also reassured stakeholders that necessary precautions and protocols were immediately put in place to mitigate the impact of the breach

Real estate and engineering firm Raymond Ltd reported a cybersecurity breach on Wednesday, stating that some of its IT assets had been impacted. However, the company assured that its core systems and operations remained unaffected.

In a regulatory filing, Raymond Ltd stated, “A cybersecurity incident has occurred at the company and it has impacted some of the IT assets which have been isolated.” The company emphasised that its customer operations and store functions were running normally.

Raymond’s technical team, along with a specialised group of cybersecurity experts, responded swiftly to contain the situation. “The company is investigating the matter and appropriate containment and remediation actions are being taken in a controlled manner to address the incident,” the filing added.

The firm also reassured stakeholders that necessary precautions and protocols were immediately put in place to mitigate the impact of the breach.

Founded in 1925, the Raymond Group has been a pioneer in fabric manufacturing and later diversified into engineering and real estate. In 2024, the company demerged its lifestyle business into a separate listed entity. Following the restructuring, Raymond Ltd now primarily focuses on real estate and engineering.

The company has not disclosed specific details regarding the nature of the cybersecurity incident or whether any sensitive data was compromised. However, the prompt response highlights the growing importance of robust cybersecurity measures in the corporate sector.
