In a bid to strengthen its fight against cybercrime, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. The partnership is aimed at enhancing legal, policy, and forensic expertise within the state’s cybercrime enforcement efforts.
The MoU was signed by Shikha Goel, Director of TGCSB, and Professor Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR, in the presence of Telangana’s Director General of Police, Dr Jitender.
Officials said the collaboration will establish a framework for integrating legal education, policy research, and digital forensics with TGCSB’s ongoing operational capabilities. The partnership is expected to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to cybercrime, drawing on academic insight and technical rigour to address the rapidly evolving threat landscape.
“The intersection of law and technology is critical in the cybercrime space,” Goel said. “This partnership with NALSAR will not only provide access to academic research but also help build capacity in digital forensics and cyber law.”
The initiative is likely to pave the way for joint research projects, training programmes for law enforcement, and policy recommendations that can support more robust and future-ready cybersecurity governance in Telangana.
