The joint initiative between Seqrite and DSCI leverages Seqrite Labs, the country’s largest malware analysis lab, to compile a comprehensive Threat Report. Seqrite Labs’ researchers and experts contributed to the report by analysing data, statistics, and telemetry from approximately 8.5 million endpoints.

One notable finding pertains to the Android landscape, where there has been a notable increase in adware and Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs). The report highlights the alarming trend of fake and malicious applications hosted on the Google Play Store, impacting millions of users with downloads of SpyLoan apps, fake apps, HidAdd apps, and more.
