Security Guard Fatally Stabbed By Student At Bengaluru College

Jai Kishore Rai, the security guard on duty, refused them entry due to an ongoing program at the college

A tragic incident unfolded at Sindhi College in Amruthahalli, Bengaluru, on Wednesday when a security guard was fatally stabbed by a student. The student, identified as Bhargav, arrived at the college with his friends, allegedly in an inebriated state.

Jai Kishore Rai, the security guard on duty, refused them entry due to an ongoing program at the college. Following an altercation, Bhargav left the premises, went to a nearby shop, purchased a knife, and returned to stab Rai multiple times in the chest. The security guard succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.

DCP North East commented on the incident, stating, “The incident happened this afternoon. Security didn’t allow the students to barge into the college late. The security guard stopped the students at the gate. One of the students went, bought a knife, and stabbed the security guard.”

The police have arrested Bhargav and are conducting an investigation to determine if there was any prior rivalry between him and the security guard. “We will collect a blood sample to find out if the accused student was in an inebriated state when he stabbed the security guard,” the DCP added.

The college community and local residents are shocked and saddened by this violent act. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
