Dubai Airports has unveiled a digital licensing system for security screeners and an AI-powered passenger corridor, moves it says will modernise safety operations and redefine the travel experience for millions of passengers.
The new Digital Security Screener Licensing System replaces manual certification with a technology-driven process designed to ensure security staff are fully trained and compliant with global aviation standards. Officials say the change will improve efficiency, strengthen oversight and reduce reliance on paperwork.
According to Dubai Airports, the system forms part of the emirate’s economic agenda, which prioritises innovation, technology integration and sustainability. By digitising licensing, the airport authority hopes to cut delays and boost transparency at one of the world’s busiest transit hubs.
Strengthening international confidence

AI “red carpet” for passengers
Alongside the licensing system, Dubai International Airport has introduced what it describes as the world’s first AI-powered passenger corridor. Branded the “Red Carpet,” it allows travellers to pass through immigration in seconds without presenting documents.
The corridor can process up to 10 people at once by recognising passenger data before they enter. Authorities say the technology will drastically reduce waiting times and ease congestion.
Taken together, the new systems mark Dubai’s latest push to balance security and efficiency. Officials believe the dual focus on passenger safety and convenience will reinforce the city’s position as a benchmark for global aviation.
