GS Rao Takes Charge as Global Head of Corporate Security Services at Vodafone

Veteran security leader to drive global resilience, fraud transformation, and world-class security services across Vodafone’s ecosystem

Global telecom major Vodafone has appointed GS Rao as the Global Head of Corporate Security Services, marking a significant step in strengthening its enterprise-wide security and resilience framework.

With over 25 years of global experience, Rao brings deep expertise across corporate security, business resilience, fraud management, investigations, and security operations in complex, multi-market environments. In his new role within Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS), he will lead the mandate to build and deliver world-class corporate security services across Vodafone entities, partners, and external clients.

Rao has been associated with Vodafone for the past nine years, during which he has held multiple leadership roles across the Group. His contributions have spanned security operations, global fraud transformation, investigations, and resilience initiatives, areas that have become increasingly critical in today’s dynamic threat landscape.

Speaking on his new role, Rao highlighted that corporate security plays a foundational role in ensuring organisational resilience, operational continuity, and sustained stakeholder trust. He also emphasised that this transition presents an opportunity to lead core corporate security domains end-to-end, integrating resilience, operational excellence, and scalable service delivery.

This appointment comes at a time when organisations globally are placing heightened focus on integrated security frameworks that not only safeguard assets but also enable business continuity and trust in an evolving risk environment.

Rao expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with teams across VOIS and the broader Vodafone ecosystem to advance the company’s corporate security agenda and deliver high-impact outcomes at scale.
