A distinguished cybersecurity luminary and former National Cyber Security Coordinator at the Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India, General Pant’s appointment is particularly significant as TAC Security gears up for its impending Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Boasting an illustrious career spanning over four decades, General Pant has consistently demonstrated unparalleled proficiency in the dynamic realm of cybersecurity. His tenure as the National Cyber Security Coordinator proved instrumental in steering and harmonising cybersecurity strategies across diverse sectors. Under his guidance, India ascended from the 47th to a coveted position within the top 10 in the UN Global Cybersecurity Index, marking a substantial leap in the nation’s cybersecurity preparedness. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Trusted Products Directive for the telecom sector, further bolstering India’s cyber resilience.
Before assuming the crucial role of National Cyber Security Coordinator, General Pant held the esteemed position of Director at the Army’s cyber training establishment. In this capacity, he spearheaded initiatives to develop extensive training programs, ensuring the Indian Army maintained a cutting-edge stance in cyber defence capabilities. His unwavering commitment and substantial contributions to national security earned him three prestigious awards from the President of India.
