Despite the severity of the fire, no injuries or fatalities were reported
A significant fire erupted in the early hours of Monday, January 27, 2025, near Shivar Chowk in Pimple Saudagar, Pune. The blaze began around 1:30 am at Royal Avenue, affecting Aadi’s Fashion Hub, a clothing store, and Om Happy Teeth Advanced Dental Care & Implant Laser Centre, a dental clinic.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) fire brigade responded promptly, deploying over 10 fire vehicles, including two from the main fire station in Sant Tukaram Nagar. Firefighters used thousands of litres of water to control the blaze, which was extinguished within an hour. Cooling operations took longer due to the fire’s intensity.
Despite the severity of the fire, no injuries or fatalities were reported. A nearby branch of Pradeep Sweets remained unaffected. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by a short circuit.
Fire Officer Gautam Ingawale stated, “No injuries or fatalities occurred despite the severity of the fire. Being a commercial complex, we managed to douse the fire within 15 minutes, though cooling operations took additional time. The property damage was significant, but we successfully prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.”
Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
