In an unfortunate incident, a Security guard was shot performing his duty. The individual responsible for the fatal shooting of security guard Bradley Haas at New Hampshire Hospital has been identified as 33-year-old transient John Madore, according to authorities. The incident occurred in the hospital’s lobby in Concord, where Madore allegedly used a 9 mm handgun to shoot Haas. Bradley Haas, a former chief of police and Army veteran, was on security duty at the state-run psychiatric hospital.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella announced the details of the case at a news conference, expressing deep condolences for Haas and acknowledging his heroism in protecting patients, staff, and visitors. Formella also commended the state trooper who, in response to the shooting, fatally shot Madore, preventing further harm.
The violence occurred around 3:40 p.m. last week on Friday, prompting a thorough investigation into the motives behind the attack. The identity of the trooper involved in the shooting has not been disclosed, following agency protocol, but both Formella and New Hampshire State Police Col. Mark Hall lauded the trooper’s actions as heroic and life-saving.
