Mr. C Bhaskar Reddy, a prominent figure in the private security industry, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the World Association of Detectives (WAD). Reddy, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Association of Private Security Agencies (APSA) in Hyderabad and Managing Director of Excel Security Services in Andhra Pradesh, brings extensive experience to this global role.
WAD, the world’s oldest and largest association of its kind, was originally established in 1921 and formally founded in 1925. The association plays a crucial role in advancing the interests of private detectives and investigators worldwide. Over the years, WAD has become a leading global network for professionals involved in investigation and security services.
In an interview Mr. Reddy expressed his excitement about the appointment and his long-standing association with WAD, where he has been a member for over a decade. He spoke about the importance of bringing greater recognition to the field of investigations in India. “We have been fighting for this for many years, and now we are hopeful that, like PSARA, investigations will receive the recognition they deserve from the government,” he said.
Reddy highlighted the increasing incidence of fraud and emphasized the need for investigations to be given due importance. “With frauds on the rise, it is essential that the field of investigations is acknowledged and supported accordingly,” he added.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Reddy aims to contribute to WAD’s global mission while advocating for the professional recognition of investigative services in India. His appointment is expected to further strengthen ties between Indian private security professionals and the global network of detectives.
