CAPSI & ASIS Join Hands To Strengthen Corporate & Community Security

The agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation in the private security sector through the exchange of knowledge, collaborative initiatives, and professional development

In a significant development aimed at bolstering security in the private sector, the Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) and the ASIS New Delhi Chapter 207 have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the security industry.

The MoU was signed by Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman of CAPSI, and Mahesh Singh Chauhan, Chairman of ASIS Delhi Chapter, in the presence of senior officials and members from both organisations. The ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Girish Kaushik, Vice Chairman, and Jyotsana Bhalla, Secretary of ASIS Delhi Chapter, alongside national vice presidents and executive directors from CAPSI.

Strengthening Security Ecosystems

The agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation in the private security sector through the exchange of knowledge, collaborative initiatives, and professional development. The partnership underscores the need to align security strategies with the evolving needs of corporates and communities alike.

Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman of CAPSI, described the MoU as a historic moment for the private security sector. “This marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation and quality service delivery. Security professionals must now take on the role of ‘Profit Protectors’ instead of just focusing on loss prevention,” he said.

Highlighting the long-term vision, Mahesh Singh Chauhan, Chairman of ASIS Delhi Chapter, expressed optimism about the collaboration’s impact on India’s future security landscape. “This partnership will contribute positively to creating secure ecosystems, which are essential for aligning with the ‘Surakshit and Viksit Bharat 2047’ mission envisioned by the Prime Minister,” he said.

Key Objectives Of Collaboration

The MoU outlines several objectives, including the exchange of non-classified information on security training, advancements in video analytics, and member participation in security-related events and programmes. Both organisations have committed to promoting dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest to elevate professional standards in the security industry.

Additionally, members will be encouraged to engage as speakers, panelists, or participants in events to foster an exchange of ideas and expertise within the security ecosystem.

Laying Groundwork For Future Cooperation

While the MoU serves as a preliminary framework for collaboration, it does not constitute a legally binding contract. Any formal agreements or obligations will be subject to future discussions and mutual consent.

This partnership underscores the growing importance of a coordinated approach to private security in India, with an emphasis on fostering innovation, improving service delivery, and addressing evolving security challenges.
