Srinivas Mahankali, a veteran in digital transformation with expertise in Blockchain, Web3, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and AI technologies, has been appointed to lead the newly established national task force on “AI in Private Security Industry.” This initiative is spearheaded by the Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) and aims to revolutionise India’s private security landscape through artificial intelligence.
The task force has outlined a clear roadmap to address critical challenges within the private security sector, including growing security threats, operational inefficiencies, and the urgent need for skill development. Key objectives include identifying AI applications for the industry within 60 days, piloting AI-based systems in five strategic areas over six months, drafting ethical AI guidelines within 90 days, and training 500 security personnel in AI tools over the next year.
Transformative Vision For AI In Security
Commenting on the initiative, Srinivas Mahankali said, *“In the coming years, CAPSI will pioneer AI-driven security solutions, transforming the sector’s operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and community safety. This marks a pivotal moment in India’s security sector. We envision a future where AI-driven solutions seamlessly integrate with existing security frameworks, fostering a safer, more efficient, and responsive security ecosystem.”*
He highlighted that AI adoption would bring significant improvements to the industry, including proactive threat mitigation, better resource allocation, and quicker response times. Mahankali anticipates widespread growth and adoption of AI in private security within the next 24-36 months.

Further elaborating on AI’s potential, Mahankali said, *“CAPSI’s AI integration will significantly enhance the private security industry’s capabilities, enabling predictive analytics, biometric authentication, and intelligent surveillance. We plan to leverage large-scale IoT, CCTV, and drone networks to redefine India’s security landscape.”*
