Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division has been awarded two new U.S. patents, aimed at enhancing incident management and emergency response through improved access to video footage and secure data sharing. These innovations support public safety agencies, security personnel, and emergency responders, providing tools to improve community protection.
The first, U.S. Patent No. 12,010,389 , is for Hexagon’s advanced web player within the Qognify VMS platform. This player allows users to stream and play back video from multiple cameras simultaneously on a standard browser, enabling synchronized playback and frame-by-frame analysis. Privacy masking also ensures sensitive data protection during investigations.
The second, U.S. Patent No. 11,973,810 , focuses on Hexagon’s HxGN Connect platform, which facilitates secure, customisable data-sharing across organisations . The portal allows users to control who can access shared data, setting conditions for use to maintain security.
