Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure, and Geospatial division has been awarded two patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for innovative technologies aimed at improving incident management and emergency response. These newly patented solutions enhance access to security video footage and enable secure data sharing across organizations, empowering public safety agencies and security personnel to better protect communities.
The first, U.S. Patent No. 12,010,389, covers Hexagon’s advanced web player technology, part of the Qognify VMS video management solution. This technology allows for the simultaneous streaming and playback of footage from multiple cameras through a standard web browser. Key features include synchronised playback from multiple sources and privacy masking. The web player also supports frame-by-frame analysis, offering precise results during incident investigations and reviews.
The second, U.S. Patent No. 11,973,810, focuses on the data-sharing capabilities within Hexagon’s cloud-based collaboration platform, HxGN Connect. The platform enables users from different organisations to securely share critical information while maintaining data security. With configurable rules, users can choose which data to share, with whom, and under specific conditions, ensuring flexibility without compromising security.
