Motorola Solutions To Acquire InVisit

Global Cybersecurity Association Launched GCA Index
With security threats becoming increasingly complex, particularly for large organisations managing diverse people flows and operations across multiple locations, the addition of InVisit is expected to bring much-needed visibility and control

Motorola Solutions has announced a definitive agreement to acquire InVisit, a California-based provider of cloud-based visitor management solutions. The move aims to bolster Motorola Solutions’ Avigilon Alta security suite with enhanced visitor management capabilities, adding another layer to its expanding cloud-native enterprise offering.

With security threats becoming increasingly complex, particularly for large organisations managing diverse people flows and operations across multiple locations, the addition of InVisit is expected to bring much-needed visibility and control. Based in Calabasas, InVisit’s flexible platform helps manage the entire visitor experience—from registration and access permissions to real-time guest activity insights—while meeting the regulatory demands of sectors such as education, healthcare, and commercial real estate.

“Managing visitors presents building teams with a myriad of operational and security challenges,” said Mahesh Saptharishi, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Motorola Solutions. “With this acquisition, we’re continuing to enhance the guest experience while delivering the clarity enterprises need to help keep people safe, places secure and operations running efficiently. And this is all with the flexibility, scalability and accessibility that a unified cloud-native suite can provide to organisations from any place at any time.”

InVisit’s capabilities include features such as guest registration, access control, host notification, and blocklist screening—helping prevent unauthorised entry and enabling quick accounting of visitors during emergencies. The solution answers essential questions in real time: who a visitor is, whether they meet access criteria, and their presence during critical situations.

Steven Kim, CEO and CTO of InVisit, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “Joining Motorola Solutions is an incredibly exciting step for us. This is a tremendous opportunity to realise the full potential of our technology, working with a global innovator and leader committed to comprehensive enterprise security.”

Once the transaction is completed—expected by the second quarter of 2025—InVisit will be fully integrated into Avigilon Alta’s security ecosystem. The suite currently includes video security, access control, intercom systems, virtual monitoring, wireless locks, and mailroom package management. With the addition of InVisit, it will offer a comprehensive, mobile-friendly visitor management tool as well, already accessible via the Avigilon Alta App Marketplace.

Motorola Solutions will showcase its latest enterprise security technologies, including InVisit, at ISC West 2025 in Las Vegas from March 31 to April 4, at stand 14059.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
