Zygal, a global provider of AI-driven video management systems and cloud-based security monitoring, has appointed Mike Hurst as Senior Security Strategist, as the company looks to deepen its footprint in the United Kingdom and European markets.
With a career spanning over three decades, Hurst is widely respected across the global security community for his work in both commercial and voluntary leadership roles. He brings extensive experience in security strategy, market development and organisational leadership, having served with global bodies including ASIS International, The Security Institute, and the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).
“This is a pivotal step in Zygal’s international growth journey,” said Sumanyu Vashishta, founder and CEO of Zygal. “Mike’s deep industry knowledge and proven leadership will be instrumental as we accelerate our entry into the UK and European markets. We are confident his strategic insights will significantly contribute to our long-term success.”
Hurst, who holds certifications including ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and IFPO Certified Protection Officer Instructor (CPOI), is expected to help shape Zygal’s market strategy across Europe. In his new role, he will work with senior leadership to guide regulatory compliance, forge partnerships, and oversee customer acquisition.
The appointment comes at a time when Zygal is scaling its AI-powered VMS platform, which combines real-time monitoring and intelligent analytics. The company’s focus is on delivering more responsive and adaptive security solutions for enterprise clients.
“I’m excited to join Zygal at such a transformative time for the company,” said Hurst. “Zygal’s AI-driven platform is redefining how security is delivered and managed. I look forward to contributing to the company’s vision and helping build a strong, sustainable presence in the UK and Europe.”
