Drone Technology

A significant milestone was reached in July 2020 when the Delhi Police utilised drone technology during a murder investigation, leading to the discovery of a concealed body in Mehraulis wooded area. The victims were identified as two former gang members, presumably killed as retaliation for their potential testimony against the gangs leader. The police have successfully identified and arrested two suspects, while the main suspect, a notorious criminal with a history of offences and a recent parolee from Tihar Jail due to the COVID-19 pandemic, remains at large. Authorities continue their pursuit of the primary suspect and his accomplices.

3D Technology

In April 2018, an unidentified headless body was discovered near an electric tower in Javasaivillage, Thanes Ambernath. For seven months, the police struggled to determine the victims identity due to the charred state of the body. However, with the help of forensic experts at KEM Hospital in Mumbai, the victim was identified as Bindresh Prajapati, a small-time businessman in his thirties, using 3D technology to reconstruct his face.

The victims head was found about 500 metres from the body, but it was severely burned, and the face had been deliberately skinned to conceal the victims identity. Despite attempts to identify the body through a tattoo on the right hand and the victims sandals, no progress was made after six months. In October, the police turned to forensic experts at KEM Hospital, who suggested creating a digital representation of the deceased based on the skull pattern and burned skin. 

 A True Security Guard

After two decades in the military, Samar Pandey became a security guard at the State Bank of India. One day, a customer accidentally left a bag filled with money at the counter. However, the vigilant Samar Pandey, in a demonstration of his character, immediately informed the bank officials.The banks advanced CCTV system identified the customer quickly, and the bag of money was returned. Kanker Collector Priyanka Shukla praised Samars actions, and his story of integrity spread across social media, garnering widespread applause. 

 Valiant Security Guard

In Keonjhar town, thieves vandalised the SBIs Padmapur branch ATM and stole cash. Jai Bahadur Singh, the security guard on night patrol, attempted to intervene and was attacked with stones, resulting in hospitalization. The 2 AM incident was reported by Bahadur Singh, who raised an alarm, notifying neighbors and police. Authorities are investigating to apprehend the culprits. This story highlights the courage of individuals like Jai Bahadur Singh, who stand up for whats right despite personal risks. 

 Real-Life Hero

In the midst of a massive fire at Surats Takshashila Arcade coaching centre, Ketan Jorawadiaemerged as a real-life hero. With smoke everywhere and people frightened, Ketan acted quickly, finding a ladder at the back of the building and saving approximately 10 students. His brave actions earned widespread praise online, reminding us that anyone can be a hero in tough times. Ketans story underscores the importance of unity and bravery in challenging circumstances.

 CCTV Footage

Delhi Police successfully solved a murder case from March 14, 2022, near Al Quresh Masjid, by apprehending the suspect, Noor Mohd, using CCTV footage. Rohaan, a young Bihar native working as a momos seller, was tragically killed. With no eyewitnesses, CCTV footage revealed a suspicious individual entering the building twice. After extensive efforts, the suspects identity remained a mystery until his capture through a series of raids.

 AI-Driven Security Measures

Security agencies, Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, and other units implemented robust security measures for the G20 Summit in Delhi on September 9 and 10. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) modules, security personnel utilised AI-powered cameras and software alarms to detect and sort suspicious activities. Advanced AI-based cameras and software alarms notified security personnel of potential threats, such as individuals scaling walls or displaying unconventional behavior. Comprehensive security plans were shared with visiting heads of state and their delegations, promoting intelligence exchange and collaborative efforts for enhanced security measures. 

 ATM Guard Killed In Theft Attempt

In Doddanekundi, an IDBI Bank ATM guard, Hari Shankar Sharma (25), was tragically killed by two thieves during a theft attempt. Sharma, unarmed, could not defend himself, leading the investigating officer to stress the importance of arming security guards. The incident underscores the need for armed guards to protect ATMs and prevent such unfortunate events. 

Radhikas Determination and Community Effort Rescue Girl

In Simdega, Jharkhand, the kidnapping of a girl named Aisha sparked fear. However, the community rallied, with local resident Radhika joining the police and activists in the search. After an extensive search, a tip led them to a dilapidated building, where they rescued Aisha. Radhikas determination and the towns unity resulted in Aishas reunion with her family, proving that togetherness can overcome even the darkest challenges. 

 Sunil Srivastava Saves Lives Amid Bihar Floods

Amid Bihars devastating floods, PhD student Sunil Srivastava displayed exceptional courage and altruism. Balancing academic pursuits, Sunil joined the disaster management team, saving numerous lives with his knowledge and expertise. His quick thinking and dedication in dangerous conditions provided critical support, showcasing the invaluable impact of selflessness during crises. 

 Security Guard Fends Off Attackers Despite Injuries

In a CCTV recording, two individuals on a motorcycle, wearing hoods, approached an SBI ATM. One of them shot at the security guard, who, despite being injured, courageously stood his ground, preventing the assailants from entering the premises. The attackers, fearing public intervention, quickly left the scene. The guard, who is still recovering, is praised by the police for his bravery. 

 Centralise Control Over NCR CCTV Cameras

Inspired by Hyderabad Police, the Haryana Police plan to centralise control over all CCTV cameras in the NCR city, starting with DLF phases and gradually expanding to the entire city. This initiative, connecting cameras to the Integrated Command Control Centre, aims to enhance operational efficiency and improve monitoring capabilities.

Gurgaons Police Commissioner, Vikas Arora, highlighted the benefits of this move, stating that centralised control will significantly improve operational efficiency and enable the monitoring and securing of more areas.

 CCTV Footage Leads to Arrest

 In a 7-year-old case, Delhi Police successfully solved a brutal attack on a 21-year-old aspiring air hostess, Riya Gautam, by her stalker, Adil Khan (23), in broad daylight. Khan was captured on CCTV wielding a knife, and the victim had previously filed a complaint three months prior. Despite attempts to apprehend him, Khan evaded authorities until a fateful phone call seeking refuge led to his downfall. Khan had stalked Riya for months, culminating in the tragic confrontation on July 5, 2017, where he stabbed her multiple times, leading to her death the following day. The case was cracked by questioning locals and securing crucial CCTV footage.

 Student Saves Mans Life

During a local cricket match, 21-year-old Md. Akram, a second-year BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science student at the University of Lucknow, found himself in a critical situation. A player from the opposing team, after completing a run, suddenly collapsed to the ground. Recognising the signs of a cardiac arrest, Akram acted promptly, placing the man, who appeared to be in his 60s, on his back and ensuring an open airway by tilting his head.

As the man struggled to breathe and showed no signs of a pulse, Akram initiated CPR. Meanwhile, three other players rushed to retrieve a publicly accessible defibrillator from the clubhouse. Akrams quick thinking and life-saving skills demonstrated the importance of his paramedic science education in a critical situation. 

 Defying The Odds

Amidst the ongoing violence in Manipur, a powerful story of bravery has emerged. A young girl, identified as Kim (name changed for privacy), became the victim of a harrowing abduction on May 15. Kim was taken near an ATM booth in Checkon, Imphal, around 5:30 pm and was driven to Wangkhei Ayangpalli, where she was physically and sexually assaulted.Despite the trauma, Kim managed to regain consciousness and found herself surrounded by her abductors, who were discussing her fate. Seizing a moment of opportunity, she asked to have her hands untied, allegedly for a bathroom break. As soon as her hands were free, she rolled down a nearby hill and eventually found refuge by the roadside.

An autorickshaw driver spotted Kim and offered assistance, taking her to New Lambulane. Medical reports later confirmed that Kim had endured severe physical and psychological trauma. Her brave escape serves as a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil in Manipur. 

 Officer’s Unwavering Commitment to Justice

In 2013, Durga Shakti Nagpal, a young IAS officer, gained attention for her unyielding efforts to expose Noidas illegal sand mining mafia. Nagpals leadership resulted in 66 FIRs, 104 arrests, and the seizure of 81 illegal mining vehicles, with the support of the Noida Police. Her flying squads conducted late-night raids, effectively disrupting the illicit activities.

Despite the success, Nagpal faced suspension by the Samajwadi Party government over alleged charges of inciting communal tension. The suspension triggered widespread criticism and support from various sources, including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who wrote to the Prime Minister in her defense. Notable lawyer Ram Jethmalani offered free legal assistance, while the UP IAS Association, Central IAS Officers Association, and activists protested her suspension.

Public interest litigations (PILs) in the Supreme Court and Allahabad High Court called for her reinstatement. Social media erupted with outrage, making Durga Shakti Nagpal a trending topic. Her unwavering commitment to justice, even in the face of adversity, earned her national recognition and support.

 The Shero

 In June 2017, Shreshtha Thakur, a courageous police officer in Bulandshahr district, stood tall against a local BJP leader and his associates, who were disrupting public order. A video capturing her heated argument with the BJP leader went viral, showcasing her bravery and determination.

However, her heroic act was met with controversy. The state government, perceiving her actions as politically biased, transferred her to Bahraich on July 2nd. This incident sparked widespread criticism, highlighting the delicate balance between protecting citizens and navigating political sensitivities.

Despite the challenges, Shreshtha Thakurs story serves as an inspiration for officers who fearlessly uphold their duty and refuse to be intimidated by intimidation or political pressure. Her case underscores the importance of officers standing firm against disruptive behavior and safeguarding the rights of all citizens. 

 Inspiring Arunima

In 2011, Arunima Sinha faced a life-threatening event that profoundly altered her destiny. As a young, ambitious volleyball player, she was cruelly thrown from a moving train by thieves, leaving her with a shattered left leg. Despite her physical limitations, Arunima refused to be defined by her misfortune. Instead, she channelled her pain and determination into a remarkable journey that would inspire countless others.

 In 2013, against all odds, Arunima defied the odds and became the first Indian female amputee to conquer Mount Everest. This momentous achievement not only restored her self-confidence but also made her a symbol of resilience and strength for the nation.

In recognition of her extraordinary journey, Arunima Sinha received the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2015. This accolade solidified her status as a national icon, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of millions.

Arunima Sinhas story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the boundless possibilities that lie beyond adversity. She stands as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, anything is achievable with unwavering determination and a spirit that refuses to be broken.

 The First Female Bouncer

Meet Mehrunnisa Shaukat Ali, a woman who defied societal norms and shattered stereotypes. Traditionally, bouncers are imposing figures with stern expressions and an unwavering presence. However, Mehrunnisa challenged this perception and paved the way for other women to follow suit.

Growing up, Mehrunnisa faced scepticism and doubt due to her gender. Despite these challenges, she remained determined to pursue her dream of becoming a bouncer. In 2018, she made history by becoming the first female bouncer in India.

Mehrunnisas journey has been marked by obstacles and challenges, but she has persevered, paving the way for future generations of women to break down barriers and redefine societal expectations. Her story is an inspiration to all, demonstrating that with determination, anything is possible. 

 Lady Bouncers

In Pune, a groundbreaking initiative emerged in response to the alarming rise in crimes against women. Swamini Lady Bouncers, a group of 49 women trained in self-defence, was born out of a desire to safeguard womens safety.

Amita Kadam, a 29-year-old graduate and mother, initiated this transformative movement. Despite facing scepticism and societal norms, Amita refused to be deterred. Drawing inspiration from her brother-in-law, a bouncer, she believed that women could excel in this traditionally male-dominated field.

With unwavering determination, Amita pursued her dream and established Swamini Lady Bouncers. Her journey is a testament to the power of women standing tall, protecting themselves, and empowering others.

Swamini Lady Bouncers have been instrumental in safeguarding women at events, clubs, and various activities. Their presence has provided a sense of security and hope for many. AmitaKadams story is an inspiration to all, demonstrating that with courage, anything is possible.
