SPH Aviation Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of AVPL International, has entered into a strategic partnership with GDX Security Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., a ₹2,000 crore leader in the security sector. The partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance aviation security by integrating advanced drone technology into operations, strengthening safety frameworks, and building a skilled workforce through comprehensive training programmes.

This collaboration addresses the growing demand for cutting-edge drone applications and trained operators in the aviation and security sectors. Together, SPH Aviation and GDX Security aim to drive innovation by establishing Remote Pilot Training Organisations (RPTOs), launching Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions, and undertaking targeted research and development (R&D) projects. The initiative is also expected to boost skill development, create jobs, and advance technological solutions in India’s expanding drone industry.

Strategic Focus On Skill Development & Safety

The MoU outlines several initiatives designed to elevate aviation security standards and foster industry growth:

Drone Security Officer Training & Certification

SPH Aviation will train GDX Security personnel as certified drone pilots in compliance with Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) guidelines. This programme will prepare operators for advanced drone applications in diverse security scenarios.

Establishment Of Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO)

SPH Aviation will support GDX Security in establishing an RPTO by handling regulatory documentation and approvals. This initiative aims to standardise drone pilot training and improve technical skills across the sector.

Joint Research and Development (R&D)
The partnership includes collaborative R&D projects to develop custom drone solutions for specific security needs. All projects will proceed with GDX’s written consent to ensure alignment with operational requirements.

Revenue Sharing & Intellectual Property Rights

A revenue-sharing framework has been outlined for joint initiatives, with each organisation retaining ownership of its intellectual property. This structure aims to protect proprietary technology while fostering mutual growth.
