The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) has announced surprise inspections aimed at ensuring adequate precautions are in place. According to the directive, state health departments and disaster management authorities are urged to collaborate closely to ensure accredited hospitals undergo thorough inspections. These inspections will include assessments of electrical loads, fire safety compliance, and the issuance of Fire No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
Director of Delhi Fire Services, Atul Garg, emphasised the importance of these inspections, stating that they will focus on verifying fire safety measures and the operational status of critical equipment within hospitals.
