Thane, Maharashtra: A major fire broke out at the Hypercity Mall in the Kasarvadavali area of Thane on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The blaze started in a showroom of sportswear brand Puma, located on the first floor of the shopping complex.
Multiple fire tenders were deployed to the scene, and after intense efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
Speaking to media, fire officer Nilesh Vetal confirmed that the exact cause of the fire remains unclear. “A fire broke out in the first floor’s Puma showroom at the Hypercity Mall. The fire has been doused. The reason for the fire is not yet clear. No casualties reported,” he said.
Eyewitnesses described thick smoke billowing from the mall as fire personnel worked tirelessly to contain the flames. The swift response from the fire brigade prevented the blaze from spreading to other parts of the mall, averting a larger disaster.
