Gurgaon Businessman Robbed By Security Guards

Kamlakar Pathak, who resides in Sector 92, Gurgaon, was heading home on Thursday when the guards attacked him, the police said

A businessman in Gurgaon has reported that he was allegedly attacked and robbed by four security guards at his residential society. The police have registered a case regarding the matter at Sector 10 police station.

According to the victim, Kamlakar Pathak, who resides at Raheja Navodaya in Sector 92, the incident occurred on Thursday around 10:15 am when he was returning home. At the main gate, Pathak encountered four security guards named Pushpendar, Pankaj, and two others he did not recognise.

Instead of allowing him entry, the guards engaged in an argument and locked the gate, despite Pathak’s car having an automatic barrier open scanner. Pathak claimed that these guards had been causing trouble for about 10 days, and he had previously complained to the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) about their negligent behaviour, which further escalated the situation.

Pathak recounted that the assault began in the basement parking lot as he was trying to park his car. While attempting to defend himself and call for help, his phone was allegedly snatched by the accused. The attackers then reached his parking spot before him and proceeded to assault him, forcibly taking his blazer which contained Rs 1.25 lakh in cash.

Describing the ordeal, Pathak stated that Pushpendar grabbed his hair while Pankaj punched him in the face. Despite his efforts to protect himself, the attackers took advantage of his vulnerable state, causing injuries and stealing his blazer along with the money inside. Pathak also expressed concern for his family’s safety, fearing that the attackers might harm them if not stopped.

The FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including common intention, voluntarily causing hurt, and criminal intimidation.

This incident highlights the importance of ensuring the safety and security of residents in residential societies, and it underscores the need for prompt action to address such incidents effectively.
