HSRP is short for High-Security Registration Plate, is a standard mandated by the Indian government for vehicle registration plates. These plates feature several security elements such as an international registration code, a laser-etched unique serial number, and a 3D hologram depicting the Ashok Chakra.
Currently, possessing an HSRP number plate is compulsory for all officially registered vehicles across the country. While states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have not yet set official deadlines, Karnataka has taken a proactive step to move forward towards this regulation.
