In a significant step towards strengthening cybersecurity in India, L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) and the Maharashtra State Cyber Department have jointly launched the country’s first integrated state-level Cyber Command and Control Center. The initiative aims to create a secure and resilient digital environment by equipping citizens, businesses, and critical infrastructure with world-class technology and expertise to combat cyber crimes.
The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated at Mahape by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. The project places Maharashtra at the forefront of cybersecurity efforts, aiming to speed up cybercrime investigations, enhance conviction rates, build the capacity of the police force, and raise public awareness about online threats.
L&T Technology Services led the project in collaboration with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP, which acted as the forensics and technology investigation partner. Together, they have established a comprehensive infrastructure for tackling cyber crimes across the state.
This initiative includes a Cyber Crime Command and Control Center, equipped with advanced digital forensic tools, a Technology-Assisted Investigation (TAI) Center, and CERT-Maharashtra (Computer Emergency Response Team), which uses AI-powered threat intelligence tools to address cyber threats. The facility also features a Security Operations Center (SOC and a Cyber Center of Excellence, focusing on capacity building and public awareness programs on cyber safety.
The Cyber Command and Control Center will serve as a central hub for grievance management, processing complaints through various channels, including a 24/7 helpline (14407), web portal, and mobile app. The center will support 50 district-level cyber police stations across the state, enabling them to investigate complaints from citizens and businesses using advanced forensic technologies.
CERT-MH will focus on addressing cyber incidents that affect critical infrastructure and national security, working in coordination with other agencies to offer proactive threat intelligence to industries using AI-driven tools.

“Maharashtra has set a benchmark by creating a world-class platform to tackle cyber crimes using cutting-edge technology and skilled cyber experts. This ensures timely resolution of cyber incidents and strengthens the digital security of citizens, enterprises, and critical infrastructure,” said Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during the inauguration.

The command center is expected to improve response times, enhance investigation outcomes, and raise awareness about cyber risks among the general public.
