In Sukma district, an elite unit of the CRPF, known as CoBRA, encountered an explosion triggered by Naxalites using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). This incident occurred during a security operation, resulting in the injury of a commando from the CRPF unit.
The clashes erupted between security forces and Naxalites in various instances. Notably, encounters led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle in Kanker district. In another incident, a joint team of the Border Security Force (BSF) and District Reserve Guard (DRG) engaged with Naxalites in the Bande area, prompting a search operation in the vicinity. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported among the security personnel.
The persistence of such incidents despite the stringent security measures raises significant concerns.
