Time To Be More Proactive Than Reactive: Experts

An organisation, while functioning, looks at  business continuity focuses on their internal operations and everything and then it comes to the security

The times we live in have never seen so much change. We now more than ever require the leadership and systems to maintain international security in a world experiencing rapid technological disruption, political and demographic change, and geopolitical upheaval.

Independent Consultant said, There are a lot of things that are involved in a geopolitical situation. It starts at the level which is within a particular country first. And together, number of countries form a regional space, the regional space then again forms into another global scales.

“A lot of things across the globe are happening and which are having a great impact on economy, on the security sphere and on the thought processes of the people. In every country, more or less something  is happening,” said Session Chair: Maj. Gen. Sanjay Soi (Retd), International Affairs & Defence Expert, Member Advisory Board International Institute of Influencers.

On how we can be proactive rather then being reactive in security matters Maj. Saurabh Srivastava,Director-South Asia, Crisis and Security Consulting, Control Risks India said, An organisation, while functioning, looks at  business continuity focuses on their internal operations and everything. And then it comes to the security.

“We require a different kinds of skills. Time has changed. If we are preparing ourselves for new technologies, the other side the people who are trying to harm the organisation are one step ahead. So we have to  prepare in advance,” said Harvindra Singh, Chapter Chairman, ASIS International, New Delhi Chapter on the skills required for preparedness in security matters.

Jyotsana Bhalla, President, Head BD & CRM, AP Securitas said, Due to Israel Gaza war, things have changed. It is affecting our businesses on all aspects. The trade has been hampered. Earlier there was quite positive scenarios with regards to  Saudi and Israel relation normalisation, which Saudi was not initially recognising.
