Apollo Micro Systems (AMS), an aerospace and defense company, announced that it has been awarded a prestigious Make II project by the Indian Army. The project involves the procurement of a Vehicle Mounted Counter Swarm Drone System (VMCSDS) (Version I) under the Make II category of DAP-2020.
In an official exchange filing, AMS stated, “We are pleased to inform you that Apollo Micro Systems Limited is shortlisted keeping in view the capability and was awarded Make II project by the Indian Army.”
This project marks a significant milestone for AMS as it is their first Make II project. The company highlighted the advanced nature of the systems to be developed, describing them as “state of the art” and “highly futuristic.”
The Make II project will not involve any cost obligations for AMS. The company is expected to deliver the order within 85 weeks, covering single-stage composite trials and staff evaluation.
Based in Hyderabad, Apollo Micro Systems specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing mission-critical electronic systems and subsystems for aerospace, defense, space, and homeland security applications. Their product range includes high-performance embedded computing systems, ruggedized computers, electronic systems for missile applications, and avionics systems.
In related news, AMS announced a final dividend of 5 percent per equity share for the financial year 2024, translating to Rs 0.05 per share with a face value of Re 1. “Considered the recommendation of Final Dividend at the rate of 5% (0.05 paise) per equity share of Re 1 each fully paid-up of the Company for the Financial Year 2023-24, subject to the approval of the Members at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company,” a company statement read.
