Saviynt already has a significant footprint in India, with nearly 600 employees supporting its global operations
Cloud-native identity governance provider Saviynt has announced the appointment of Nitin Varma as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for India and SAARC. His appointment signals the company’s increased focus on expanding its presence and strengthening its go-to-market strategy in the region.
Saviynt already has a significant footprint in India, with nearly 600 employees supporting its global operations. In his new role, Varma will lead the company’s efforts in acquiring new customers, developing technical and consulting partnerships, and enhancing Saviynt’s reputation as a trusted identity security provider.
“Nitin brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, operations, and strategy for some of the leading companies in identity, security, and infrastructure,” said Paul Zolfaghari, President of Saviynt. “We have a large opportunity and aggressive goals for growing our business in South Asia, and we are confident that Nitin is the perfect choice to build and scale our business in the region.”
Varma has over two decades of leadership experience in cybersecurity and technology, having worked with companies such as CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco. In his most recent role as Managing Director at CrowdStrike, he played a key role in strengthening the company’s market presence across India and SAARC.
Expressing enthusiasm about his new role, Varma highlighted the growing cybersecurity challenges in the region. “I am excited to join Saviynt at a time when the company has tremendous potential to gain mindshare, build its reputation, and capture market share in South Asia. India is the second most targeted nation in the world for cyberattacks, with a vast majority of them being identity-related,” he said. “I look forward to building an impactful team and developing ecosystem partnerships to educate businesses on why Saviynt’s cloud-based platform is the most reliable approach to solving identity security challenges.”
With cyber threats evolving rapidly, Saviynt’s expansion in India and SAARC comes at a crucial time as organisations increasingly prioritise identity security to safeguard their digital assets.
