Amid the huge success of his films Jawan and Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan gets Y plus security as he has been receiving death threats for the last few weeks.
Mr. Khan will now have six armed security personnel with him round the clock under the Y+ security arrangement. Previously, he only had two security personnel accompanying him.

Police Officials said that, in addition to providing security for Shah Rukh Khan, his residence will have four Mumbai Police officers armed and on guard 24/7.
Speaking about the remarkable success of his films, ‘Jawan’ has redefined the concept of box office triumph, captivating audiences with its compelling plot and outstanding performances, while simultaneously setting new records.
With his previous release ‘Pathaan’ and now ‘Jawan,’ SRK has achieved the distinction of being the first actor to have two films each grossing over Rs 1000 crore in a single year.
Following the film’s success, the production team recently held a press conference in Mumbai, which was attended by SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Atlee.
On the success of the movie, Shah Rukh said, “It’s a celebration. We rarely get a chance to live with a film for years. The making of Jawan has been going on for four years due to Covid and time constraints. There were a lot of people involved in this film, especially people from the South who came and settled in Mumbai and have been living in Mumbai for the last four years and working day and night for this film, which is the hardest work ever.”
During the conference SRK also confirmed the release of his upcoming movie Dunki which would be released on Christmas according to the actor.
“We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), then on Janmashtami we released Jawan, now New Year and Christmas are round the corner, we will release ‘Dunki’,” SRK said.
What is Y+ Security?
Just below Z and Z+ security levels is the Y-plus security, which involves an 11-member team. This team typically comprises 1 or 2 NSG commandos in addition to civil police from a specific state, depending on the security requirements of the individual and the location.
The Y security detail also consists of two PSOs (Personal Security Officers). In the past, several politicians and celebrities have been provided with this level of security. One of the more recent cases involved director Vivek Agnihotri and actress Kangana Ranaut. Kangana Ranaut expressed concerns about the Mumbai Police’s handling of the Sushant Singh Rajput case, which led to her requesting this security level.
