IG Drones Secures Defence Ministry Contract For High-Altitude Surveillance Drones

The drones are capable of carrying payloads of up to 10 kilograms and can operate  for around five hours continuously

IG Drones, a homegrown technology company, has secured a significant contract from the defense ministry to provide high-altitude drones and essential accessories tailored for surveillance in challenging terrains.

According to the firm, the drones selected for the project come equipped with a range of advanced features, making them well-suited for operations in extreme temperatures and high altitudes. These capabilities are expected to be particularly effective in border regions.

“The order involves supplying drones and necessary accessories to the Ministry of Defence,” IG Drones stated in a press release. “The selected drones offer industry-leading features and are equipped with 5G capability, ensuring exceptional performance even in harsh conditions,” the company added, highlighting their vertical take-off and landing capability.

IG Drones emphasised the significance of these drones in enhancing surveillance capabilities for defense forces, thereby bolstering operational efficiency along the borders. The integration of 5G applications, the company noted, further enhances precision control capabilities.
