Global Thought Leaders In Security & Life Safety Revealed By LSA For 2025

More than a ceremonial round-up, this year’s cohort was selected through LSA’s proprietary algorithm, which assesses a wide range of leadership benchmarks

The Life Safety Alliance (LSA) has unveiled its annual list of the Top 40 Global Thought Leaders in Security and Life Safety for 2025, recognising professionals who are reshaping the industry through innovation, influence and integrity.

More than a ceremonial round-up, this year’s cohort was selected through LSA’s proprietary algorithm, which assesses a wide range of leadership benchmarks — including speaking engagements at major conferences, educational contributions, social media reach, volunteerism and demonstrated industry impact.

“Security and life safety are global imperatives,” an LSA spokesperson said. “This year, we cast a wider net — looking at geographic representation, market maturity and ethical leadership, along with traditional credentials and influence.”

The result, they said, is a diverse and inclusive group that not only leads but also inspires. The 2025 list reflects the increasing complexity of the sector, with professionals drawn from cybersecurity, emergency preparedness, enterprise risk, and physical security, spanning six continents.

The final 40 represent a global tapestry — from risk experts in North America and Europe to cybersecurity leaders in Africa and Latin America. Several individuals have been named to the list for the second consecutive year, denoted by a star.
