PM Narendra Modi Inaugurates TechEagle’s Eight New Drone Delivery Hubs

These drone hubs are designed to expedite the delivery of critical medical supplies—including essential medicines, vaccines, and diagnostic samples—to remote and underserved communities

In a major advancement for India’s healthcare logistics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated eight new drone delivery hubs launched by TechEagle, India’s leading drone delivery company. This groundbreaking launch, spread across eight states, brings drone-enabled healthcare logistics to a wide network of healthcare facilities, including AIIMS Guwahati, AIIMS Rishikesh, AIIMS Bilaspur, and AIIMS Bhopal, among others. The initiative is part of a series of nationwide projects, collectively valued at over 12,855 crore, aimed at improving public health infrastructure.

These drone hubs are designed to expedite the delivery of critical medical supplies—including essential medicines, vaccines, and diagnostic samples—to remote and underserved communities. With an outreach goal of over 200 locations across Assam, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and beyond, the project is set to make a lasting impact on healthcare accessibility in these regions.

Anshu Abhishek, Co-Founder and COO at TechEagle, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative: “The whole team at TechEagle is thrilled by this accomplishment. Our drone trials with AIIMS reduced delivery times to just 20-30 minutes—20 times faster than traditional ground transport. This competitive edge led us to secure major contracts, capturing over 80% of cumulative contract value in this domain.”

Professor Ashok Puranik, Executive Director at AIIMS Guwahati, highlighted the practical applications of drone technology in healthcare: “We have used drones for transporting pharmaceuticals, emergency deliveries, and biological specimens for analysis. For instance, emergency immunoglobulins have been dispatched for dog bite cases, water samples were transported and analyzed during outbreaks, and telemedicine capabilities have been established to serve remote areas in need.”

TechEagle, the first company in Asia to launch a full-fledged drone hub, has now set another record by establishing eight hubs across the country in a single day. These hubs form the foundation for a potential nationwide Drone Delivery Airline—a shared logistics network envisioned to support diverse sectors, including e-commerce, quick commerce, hyperlocal services, and healthcare. Starting with a daily capacity of 50 flights, these hubs are expected to scale up to 5,000 flights per day in the coming years.

As TechEagle continues to expand its reach, its innovative drone solutions are poised to reshape supply chains across sectors, providing faster, safer, and more efficient delivery systems nationwide. With this achievement, TechEagle is setting new standards in drone-enabled logistics, paving the way for a more connected and responsive healthcare system across India.
